3 Deep Design is a design and image agency based in Australia with representation in New York, Tokyo and Europe. For over 10 years the practice has crafted design programmes for the the finest galleries, private clients and organisations around the world, notably Steven Klein & Madonna for Louis Vuitton, The Australian Ballet, Seven New York, Metaproject, Toni Maticevski, Autore Pearls, Wheels & Dollbaby and Materialbyproduct. 3 Deep's clients are discerning and appreciate emotional and intellectually driven design.

The practice believes in delivering memorable and considered experiences that are underpinned by a commitment to ideas, design and luxury. But where luxury was once defined on the basis of material objects, the value placed on them and the social achievement gained through acquiring them, 3 Deep understand that the discerning consumer is now viewing luxury products and services as a means to an even larger personal pursuit, self–discovery, self-expression, and self-fulfillment.

Through the unique and highly personal experiences that luxuries help provide, they are no longer content with selecting from a standard roster of premium and super premium brands. They choose to explore new realms of luxury - all of which must be discovered and defined personally. All of which require a bespoke, personal and considered approach to design.

Rather than simply imposing promises of luxury and style on products and services, 3 Deep Design stands as a mirror reflecting and managing our clients desires and aspirations. Our practice is accustomed to working at the vanguard of design practice and it is not uncommon for 3 Deep to redefine boundaries, advocate for change or champion a more sophisticated and intuitive approach to design. The studio has been doing all of these things for more than a decade.

3 Deep is committed to design excellence. It underpins everything we do. We also believe in building creative relationships that add value, contribute to the growth and evolution of our clients business while establishing long term partnerships to the benefit of our community and our culture.

Chase & Galley is a design studio based in Melbourne. Its founders are Stuart Geddes and Jeremy Wortsman. They have a particular interest in publication design and publishing, but their collective experience and expertise ranges broadly outside this terrain.

Stuart was a co-founder and director of Studio Anybody and art director of Monument magazine. He also has a long-standing teaching relationship with RMIT and Monash Universities, and is a councillor for AGDA Victoria. Jeremy comes from an editorial design background in New York, has taught design, worked in a wide array of design and advertising studios, and is also the founding principle of the Jacky Winter Group, an agency that represents contemporary Australian illustrators.

Stuart and Jeremy first worked together on Is Not Magazine, which they co-founded (with Mel Campbell, Natasha Ludowyk and Penny Modra) and began publishing in April 2005. The success of this much publicised project seemed to imply that working together was a good idea. And so they decided to pursue it. The projects they have done so far seem to have worked out pretty well.

Some of the work on this site was done in their previous careers, individually or with other studios. Our thanks to them.

Coöp is a collective of creatives dedicated to the practise of visual communications.

Visionary in approach, we are not limited by discipline, instead we work openly and collaboratively across many platforms.

Our design philosophy is holistic. We combine critical thought, style, function and finish to create aesthetically pleasing designs that work. Uniting theoretical foundation with imagination, our work is both ordered and playful and is defined as contemporary with classic sensibilities.

Responsive to brief, we strategically interpret our client’s values and personality into their projects. Open to continual learning, we build solid relationships with our clients and encourage them to get involved with the design process.

Believing good design should be for everyone, we work cross-sector on a range of projects varying in size and complexity. From the tiniest bespoke brief to large-scale projects we apply an equal dedication to excellence and this commitment is our driving force.

Collaboration and experimentation are key to our creative process. We pursue a sophisticated process of extensive research coupled with intense design development that allows us to develop truly distinctive ideas.

Our designers are worldly, skeptical, inquisitive people with an exceptional eye for detail. Regardless of their training or the countries they come from, they have to wear many hats: designer, editor, curator, art director and craftsperson. They understand design as an experiential process; part intuition and part chance. Each is able to think beyond themselves and has the mental and emotional breadth to find inspiration from a whole range of influences and the maturity to accept that the solution might lie beyond the core competencies of the collective studio.

We push ourselves to look for solutions outside of conventional disciplines, sometimes bringing into the mix practitioners who normally wouldn't be regarded as having a place in design: where, for example, the exploration of contemporary art practice might bring a whole new dimension to a fashion campaign, or some other unexpected dimension to re-orient our interpretation of
a subject.

We aspire to transcend established modes and genres, creating the kinds of outcomes that go beyond one's own intuition and comfort zone. This opens up new possibilities and perspectives for our own work - and ultimately must benefit our clients by satisfying their objectives - and at the same time bring a heightened sensuality into the equation.

We believe fundamentally that all design is about problem solving. But it's also about provoking consciousness, stimulating an aesthetic response and creating a sense of personal engagement.

Hammer & Tong is a creative studio.

Our passion is to engage an audience with a mix of strong ideas and bold design. Never defined by a single practice we work across a wide range of projects: identity systems, magazines, exhibition graphics, packaging, posters and announcements.

Currently we are working to better ourselves and the world around us from our headquarters here in Melbourne, Australia.

Established in 1996, Hofstede Design specialises in identity, publication and environmental graphic design. We use the term Graphic Design term confidently and deliberately. In a time of ‘brand strategists’ and ‘information architects’, we are doers, not talkers.
Our experience traverses the shift from analogue to digital, from the drawing board to the keyboard, and we appreciate that real originality exists in the hand and the head, and not the hard disk.
Whether the outcome is a publication, a business card or a directional sign, our approach is always consistent; rational, tailored and intelligent. In simple terms, we look to find the most efficient, engaging and appropriate method of connecting a message with a defined audience.

Established in 1993, Kleimeyer Industries is a multidisciplinary
design studio based in Melbourne.

We focus on creating innovative, memorable and relevant visual responses to briefs, working in collaboration with our clients to deliver appropriate messages.

Being a smaller sized studio enables us to offer direct and personal contact with our clients, however we have the flexibility to call on other design and management practitioners to build teams as necessary.

With a range of individual experiences and interests, everyone in the team brings their own creative responses and insight to the task when developing and exploring distinctive design solutions.

Our range of disciplines encompass identity, environmental design, packaging, publishing, web design and print campaigns, from initial consultation to production and delivery.

Grown out of a passion for contemporary art, one of the studio's special interests includes working within the art industry, and for artists and galleries. Our most recent major work includes the conception, design and print management for the book Beyond Sacred, that showcases recent painting from Australia's remote Aboriginal communities, as part of the Laverty Collection. It is currently being distributed in Australia, Europe, the UK and US. In 2008 it was awarded the PICA diamond award and a distinction at the Australian Graphic Design Association awards 2008. This year it has been nominated in the the Australian Publishers Association Book Design Awards for best specialist illustrated book of the year and best cover of the year.

Although our emphasis and skill is based around the creative process, we also accept that the core of our business revolves around the understanding of the design process, project management and the importance of adhering to budget and deadline.

We are committed to design excellence and problem solving. This, plus our love of the creative process has been proven in adding value to both brands and projects alike.

Take a few well-chosen brand creators, designers, simplifiers and solutionists; with a passion for what we do (by definition a Branding Agency). Put in the awkward position of having to define ourselves, and feeling a little like we are putting an ad in the singles column, Mash is an agency that creates truly memorable work without the ridiculous theories and processes. We cater specially to clients who truly want to build their brand with creativity and originality.

Mash was founded in 2002 Adelaide, Australia byDom Roberts & James Brown. This seems a lifetime ago now, and since 2002 Mash has done some growing up, working in many facets of branding, design, visual identity, web design, photography, art direction and copywriting.

Mash also thrives on collaborating with like-minded creative individuals and bodies to construct, present and represent all that is visual. Mash has developed a circle of photographers, copy writers, illustrators and stylists, which means Mash can develop specific teams to handle a variety of projects.
